Brian Page – Atlanta, GA

Say hello to Lead Dad of the week, Brian Page, a personal finance educator at Next Gen Personal Finance (@nextgenpf) and a father of three kids, ages 13, 14, and 20.

Brian is a nationally recognized financial educator who has also served on the Working Group for the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability. A few years back, he stepped up to help his wife’s career – inspired by a stat he heard on Shankar Vedantam’s Hidden Brain podcast (@hiddenbrain): Managers, whether male or female, were both likely to think that a promotion given to a man was helping the family while one given to a woman was an added burden that would hurt the family.

“I told her what I heard, and said you need to tell your boss that I’ve got it at home, and that you want to move up the corporate ladder,” he said. Two weeks later, she received a promotion, and has consistently received them since. She’s now the lead earner, and he’s about to launch a new venture – stay turned for more about Modern Husband (@ModernHusband), a new way for couples to think about their personal finances.

🤝Welcome to The Company of Dads, Brian!
