Adrian Bybee, who lives in Pocatello, Idaho, has spent his life in the mountain time zone, spending parts of his childhood in Wyoming – his favorite mountains– and attending college at Utah State, where he was an undersized and gritty football player.
Always a great athlete, his dream was to play in the N.F.L. He got so much closer to that goal than most, with a solid Division 1 career. But the realization that his dream was not going to come true hit him hard.
